Aerobic Kickboxing fitness with a purpose
This is a well rounded 75 minute class using rhythmic kickboxing techniques adapted from kickboxing and karate.It is a fun way to burn up to five hundred calories an hour. The workout will help you to work out your lower body as well as your upper body, increase strength, increase energy, reduce your levels of stress, and raise your level of self-esteem.This is a great class for your cardiovascular health, too. Moves are adapted to your fitness level. All ages and ability levels are welcomed.
This is an aerobic workout,but you will still learn how to generate power and how to make proper and effective techniques. This is not a self defense class, yet you will learn how to do some defensive moves.Partner work and bag work are a fun part of each class.Each class also has a body sculpting segment using hand weights, elastic bands,pilate rings, and exerciseballs. Focus is on strengthening the core muscles.Stretching based on yoga is done at end of each class.
Instructor Becky Hesser holds a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and is a certified advanced RAD self- defense instructor. She is also trained as a group fitness instructor.
Cost: 10- Class punch card is $50.00 (when you use up your 10 visits you buy another card)
Childcare is available during the kickboxing class.The children are supervised by experienced childcare provider, Amanda Hesser, while they play in the large gross motor skills area which is set up like an indoor playground.
Cost: $3:00 per child/ per class. *Childcare must be prepaid for the month.
